Scotch-a-roos

This recipe is from the wife of long-time Pacific University wrestling coach Mike Clock. She served them at a wrestling get-together back when Joey and Michael were little and I was hooked! She kindly shared her recipe and I have been making them ever since. Enjoy!

Scotch-a-roos

6 cups Rice Krispies
1 cup Butterscotch Chips
1 cup Chocolate Chips
1 cup Karo Syrup
1 cup Sugar
1 heaping cup Peanut Butter

Butter/grease a big pan (I use a 9 x 13).

Measure 6 cups of Rice Krispies and set aside.

Measure out peanut butter.

Melt Karo Syrup and sugar over medium heat. Stir it and the very minute it starts to boil take it off the heat. DO NOT BOIL.

Immediately stir in peanut butter, then stir in Rice Krispies. Spread in pan.

Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips – spread on top.

After is has set then cut them up and serve them.
